Jeudi 27 juillet.
La journée a commencé assez difficilement, et la cause de ces difficultés a été le japonais de la veille, qui a refusé de passer (on peut même dire qu'il a fait demi-tour...). Cumulé avec les deux heures de bus peu climatisé pour aller à Leshan, j'étais un peu au fond du seau... mais bon, on n’est pas là pour être malade, donc on a continué ^^.
Comme vous l'avez lu plus haut, notre destination était Leshan, petite ville de 100k habitants au sud-ouest de Chengdu, célèbre pour son grand bouddha de 78m de haut taillé dans la roche en 803.
Une fois arrivé à la gare routière, comme on ne savait pas où dormir, on a décidé de faire confiance à un faux taxi qui devait nous emmener à un hôtel pas cher pour 10 kuais. Et bien on a été agréablement surpris car l'hôtel où nous avons atterri proposait des chambres triples pour 100 kuais, avec salle de bain et eau chaude, donc si on fermait un peu les yeux sur la propreté, c'était parfait :).
Après une petite pause (repas pour certains), nous avons pu prendre le bus n°13 qui nous a emmené directement devant la porte nord du site, à quelques kilomètres de là. Après une légère grimpette, on s'est retrouvé nez à nez (c'est le cas de le dire) avec une gigantesque tête de bouddha ! Quand je dis gigantesque, je pèse mes mots, ses oreilles faisaient notre taille ! Comme il y avait la queue pour descendre au pied du bouddha, on s'est tout d'abord promené dans le grand parc autour, en visitant notamment le temple Lingyun (classique) et la vieille pagode de Lingbao, assez jolie mais n'offrant pas de point de vue. Comme la queue de désemplissait pas, on s'est finalement résigné à s'insérer dans le flux et, après 1h20 de piétinement (pire qu'à Disney !), on a finalement réussi à rejoindre les pieds de la statue, au niveau du fleuve. Mais il n'y a pas à dire, ça valait le coup ! La vue est impressionnante et le bouddha en impose vraiment. Ça m'a même un peu fait penser aux statues d'Abou Simbel.
On a ensuite longé tranquillement le fleuve vers un petit village de pêcheur (Yu Cun) transformé en village touristique, près de la porte sud du complexe. Comme on en avait encore dans les jambes, on a franchi le magnifique pont Haoshang afin de rejoindre le temple Wuyu, au sommet d'une petite île colline. Le temple était immense, mais seule une petite partie était ouverte au public. On pouvait néanmoins profiter d'un beau point de vue sur la région, même s'il n'y avait pas grand-chose à voir ^^.
Sur le retour, on a voulu visiter le parc de l'est, qualifié d'impressionnant par le routard, mais comme il était déjà 18h, et bien c'était fermé -_-'. Il ne nous restait plus qu'à prendre un tricycle à moteur qui nous a ramené à un arrêt de bus (négocié à 5y pour 5 minutes de trajet), avant de reprendre le numéro 13 pour rentrer chez nous.
Après une petite pause news (les chinois ont une chaîne d'info en continu en anglais, mais ce n’est pas de la grande qualité), on est allé se balader en centre-ville et on a mangé dans un centre commercial assez design (c'était mon premier repas de la journée, ça faisait plaisir ^^). L'un des intérêts à être malade, c'est que je me suis endormi directement à 22h30 et que j'ai dormi comme une masse toute la nuit :) (mais je ne retournerai pas au japonais de sitôt ^^).
